is the PSAT/NMSQT like the SAT?

so if you miss one on the PSAT/NMSQT, you miss 1/4 of a point, and if you leave any questions unanswered, you will not be penalized for them --- right?

Of course.

yep, scoring's exactly the same

thanks !! =)

two differences: 1) no essay on psat (obviously); 2) no AlgII on psat (since has historically been a Jr class, cb assumes kids are just taking it).

Another difference is that the math curve is extremely brutal on the PSAT. -1 = 76 or 77.

Yeah, I got two wrong on PSAT and it was a 73, but two wrong on SAT was a 760. Minor difference, I know, but whatever.

yeh just like SAt, i miss one on a careless CARELESS answer an go from a 80 to a 76.

yes, but you can only account for that difference because the SAT has more questions on it.

Haha, I missed only 3 on the psat math and got a 68. Went on to get an 800 on my SAT.
