DD got 197. Not high enough for NM but good score.
also has a 4.27 gpa, 3.9 unweighted. Anyone know if such gets honors college or anything else.

This is what I found on the website:

Freshmen entering the University of Oklahoma are eligible to apply to the Honors College Curriculum if students:*

a. have an ACT of 30 or higher, or they have an SAT total of 1,330 or higher; and,*

b. rank in the top 10 percent of graduates in their high school class, or have a high school grade point of at least a 3.75.*

I know that the honors application also requires an essay. They will use whatever GPA the high school sends, weighted or unweighted. Either way, your child would qualify.

My son and I visited the campus last month and we were both impressed with what we saw. Beautiful campus, personable professors, friendly students, a great art gallery, a very professional stage play and a recruitment office that bent over backwards to fit in everything on our visit wish list. He loved their aerospace engineering department and they also allow him to have a minor in flight. In fact, it is now our son’s top choice.

Oh, and the cafeteria! The food was truly fantastic! In fact, the best food we have had at any college campus.

Thanks, Denise.

My daughter is very interested in OU. Older sister is there (not honors college or scholarship recipient) and has been very pleased, as are we as parents. Daughter 2 is interested in medicine and OU does have a good medical school, and we live in Oklahoma.

And you’re right about the food. Has definitely improved since my college days!!
