does the PSAT go on your transcript? I heard it does after I took the test. I thought it was just a warm up test to see how you would do on the SAT. So yea, I did terrible on it.. do I have to submit it to colleges? if I'm applying for a summer program will they see the score?

It probably depends on the school.....D's high school does not have ANY tests--not PSAT, SAT, ACT, or AP results.

almisivi- No, typically you do not have submit PSATs to schools. Most only want the SAT or ACT score and then only an official copy sent by the testing agency. However, it is a good idea to check your school transcript. My son's school puts the PSAT, and all SAT and ACT scores on the transcript. Enough parents asked for the scores to be blanked out that the school is now reconsidering this policy. I agree with you that it is just common sense to avoid any negative information on the transcript.

Our school put the PSAT on the transcript until a parent, who is also a lawyer, called and pointed out that students are told when they take the PSAT that results are not given to colleges and that the scores are supposed to be confidential. The HS immediately changed its policy (within hours of the phone call), and no longer puts the scores on the transcript.

I'm pretty sure it does... I want to apply to the university of chicago summer program, but that is the only thing holding me back.. are you saying that I may be able to not send it?
