<p>PLAN is similar to the ACT, while PSAT is similar to the SAT. If you take PSAT’s if you’re a junior, however, you could possibly qualify for National Merit Scholarship if your score is high enough. </p>
<p>Neither of those test, however, will be used for college admission. They’re supposed to help you practice for their respective counterparts. If you think you can get National Merit, take the PSATs, but if you don’t, take the test that you would want to prepare for.</p>
