<p>Hello everyone! My friend told me a while ago that if you had a PSAT score somewhat close to the cutoff, you can still qualify as a semifinalist in the National Merit Program. Can anyone verify this for sure, and if this is true, how far can your score be from the cutoff? Thank you so much! </p>
<p>as far as I know, your junior year score is the one that counts and you have to make the cutoff precisely. There isn’t a 1 to 2 point wiggle room factor.</p>
<p>You could make commended scholar. But 1 point below the cutoff for your state and no semi finalist staus.</p>
