i can understand the otehr scores, but a -5 giving you a 69....that's crazy considering last year's very generous curve

I got mine back today. I took the Wed one and I'm decently happy. But the curve was horrible. I got 232 with 78 is CR (one wrong), 76 in math (one wrong) and 78 is writing (one wrong). What kind of curve is that? last year 2 wrong in writing was 80. So the curve this year is BRUTAL.

math shocked me sr.....i only got 3 wrong (but for 1 you minus nothing cause of grid-in ...)... really was expecting 740 or even a little higher..... oh welll... CR was fair!

sorry guys but i need to boost my self esteem.... do you think a 204 will be below the cutoff this year for commended... i know that last yr was 203... do you think they will make this year a 205!!.. oh god - if i miss commended by 10 points.........

arrgh the writing curve must be like 80 78 76 74 72 70 69...thanks a hell of a lot for getting my hopes up, Sophie.
My chances of semi are now in the toilet.
New Prediction:
76 CR (46)
68 M (33)
67 W (32)
211 :(

P.S.- the commended cutoff last yr was 202

oh really?!! you are the best digamma.... i would of liked NMSF, but NMC is fine for me!....barely made it though - one more question wrong on this ridiculous test, and i would of prob got in the 1900's (stupid stupid stupid curve)...
I guess collegeboard wasnt in the Christmas spirit this yr =/

what's -2 in CR

The writing curve now resembles the SAT writing MC.

guys, do you know how the percentage works.... i mean with a 2040...i dont think i beat 97% of juniors....idk seems very high for tht score...maybe CC has just taken me over... just seems weird

most likely 77 or 76..... one wrong is 78 (ouch ouch ouch) ...

DOn't worry dude...204 is about 97% and i think you should get commended...

ok...for all of you that did NOT get scores, revise your predictions.

are predictions were soo lenient... i put myself at a 220...lol .....
for sophs taking it again next yr: make the "fake" curve hard so you expect less...!!!!!!!!

Soph score:167
Jun score: 204

Not bad?

but anyway, we have to remember: these curves, though brutal as they seem, "reflect ideal fairness".
So in reality we should have no basis for complaining....but hey it does help us vent, does it not?

i can not believe the math curve for wednesday... i am doomed

no scores yet... I have to wait until tomorrow during homeroom =(

Your scores are great Vinny. That is a huge jump in just one year! I'm hoping I have a big jump too, did you prep a lot for the PSAT?

Who cares? It's only a practice?

Well...you can be a national merit semifinalist...so it is important in that sense...but generally, no it is not.

Hooray, I just found out I got a 220, I live in New York and took the Saturday test. Ahah, I guess I'm a semifinalist now.

hey...what were your raw scores Charchazwick?

Don't know yet. My guidance counselor only gave me the score, I get the score report in the mail tomorrow.
