PSAT/SAT Differences/Similarities

I'm taking my first PSATs as a junior this October. I wasn't able to take it officially as a sophomore, so I am getting very anxious. :)

I have been starting to spend time studying for the SATs- is this equally helpful for the SATs or is specific PSAT-related studying necessary too?

Any major differences (besides no essay, shorter length) between the PSAT and the SAT? If I continue to study for the SAT will that help my PSAT score? Thanks!

Yes to all. The PSAT and the SAT are basically the same except that the PSAT (as you mentioned) has no essay and is shorter in length. Also, a good PSAT score can give you a shot at a scholarship from the National Merit corporation.
