<p>Kinda all over the map; she said that the second round she figured Math was easy and kept thinking about CR. So she does well when she pays attention. In terms of correlation - widespread on PSAT sittings, and wide spread on SAT sittings</p>

<p>So in general, the PSAT has a good correlation but you can add a few points and then you add the 0 for SAT.</p>
<p>I went up almost 200 points on my SAT from my PSAT projection. In general, I think the PSAT gives you reasonably good ballpark figures for beginning a college search, but it's not necessarily a stellar indicator of your SAT scores. That said, I know that SAT scores can easily fluctuate 150-200 points in different sittings, so even previous SAT scores can be shaky estimations of your future scores. In other words - don't sweat it.</p>

<p>I wish the people on this thread who are writing "no studying" so arrogantly had the option of writing that on their college applications.</p>
<p>When they ended up crying because they were even rejected by schools they considered safeties, maybe they would think twice about admitting their lack of effort.</p>

<p>So I calculated the correlation between junior PSAT score and final SAT score in this thread, and got the following result:</p>
<p>correlation coefficient = 0.722</p>
<p>That means there's a somewhat large correlation between PSAT and final SAT, but not a perfect (or near perfect) one.</p>
