PSAT Sat.

For that it should be “whose” after the comma. That’s at least how I thought of it.

Anyway, can someone tell me mine? This is a worst case scenario; at the moment I know I got around 4 math, 2 cr, and 1 writing wrong:
-8 math
-9/10 cr
-5 writing

anyone wanna guesstimate for me?
this is worst case scenario

math: -1 but i left like 2 blank
reading: 3-4
writing: 2-3

at least over 200?

Estimate me?
-1 math
-1 writing
-1 to 3 cr (-4 raw max)

what about the writing question about the union/workers that was lk which sentence would best complete the paragraph, was it that the union gave the workers meals?

@pink, that’s what i got.

There was a tone question that was discussed earlier in this thread. Many people put “ironic” but I put “dramatic”. I believe the passage had something to do with cities or the like. However, the question asked about the tone of the first sentence, so I put “dramatic” as my answer. XD Just hoping to clear things up.

As for the slope grid-in, the answer isn’t 5.5. You could use 5.5 as a slope but it asked for one of the missing values in the two coordinates that you had to use to get a slope (5.5 or something between those two numbers they stated).

Correct me if I’m wrong, haha. =)

@Fluffy
I don’t really understand your question…did you get 4 M, 2 CR, and 1 W wrong, or 8 M, 9/10 CR, and 5 WR wrong? Well, for the first one, by looking at the scaling, I’d probably say that you got around a 221 or 222 (70 M, 75 CR, 77 W). For the second, I’d say maybe a 195 or 196 (62 M, 64 CR, 70 W). I don’t think you should take my word for it completely, because the curve could be totally different…

And also, for education in good manners result in antisocial kids, I have trouble with that answer. I considered the answer (E) but chose (D) instead. Does anybody remember what it is?
Also, I don’t agree with surrounded by sympathizers because I remember the question differently, but we will get nowhere without knowing the question.
Does anybody remember the question for “ludicrous”?

i don’t remember what choice
but i put the education in good manners result in antisocial kids one.

Sorry but the higher score is what I think I have so far, and the lower score is the lowest score I think I can get. Bleh my brain is dead… I’m probably not making much sense

For that ironic question I put C which was something about the company… E was the antisocial one. I can’t remember D

Fluffy, I got C as well for that one.

passage one in the first paragraph is introducing the views and actions of an individual
passage two is criticizing the tactics on one group while passage one is elaborating on the actions and beliefs of an individual from that group
passage two views the action of the lady in passage one: disapproving
the quote at the end of passage one (free of contamination one) was to INCITE a response (please confirm)
first paragraph of the second passage was to analyze the context of the current state of affairs
first passage, unlike passage two, uses excessive quotation

I believe there were two no errors in the spot the error question?

This is the general consensus for most of the answers.
MATH people: if you miss even two, it’s a 75.
Writing: if you miss two, it’s 720/710 (that’s what it was last year)
Cr: not sure…

As for the slope grid-in, the answer isn’t 5.5. You could use 5.5 as a slope but it asked for one of the missing values in the two coordinates that you had to use to get a slope (5.5 or something between those two numbers they stated).

5.5 was not the slope, the slope was 5.5/10=0.55, which is between 0.5 and 0.6. 5.5, however, worked as an answer to the missing variable.

x=64 (x^2-y^2=15)
Shouldn’t x be 8? I forgot the exact answer, but x=64 will definitely not work for this equation

what was the 3 rates are over constant rate question and answer

what do you think I got
-3m
-7/8 cr
-3w

worst case:

-4/5m
-10/11 cr
-4/5 w

I’m thinking the curve will be (slightly) less harsh this year compared to last year… Some of the CR questions were pretty tough. However, I’m also thinking that the NMS finalist scores will be lower too (however so slightly). Anyone agree?

@XFocus the answer is 63.
(X+81)/Y^2=constant
They gave you X=19 and Y=5 for one equation
plug them in, your constant will be four.
It asks for X value when Y=6
4=(X+81)/6^2
36*4-81=63

@basenne
I really hope so. CR was hard so I’m assuming they’ll make the curve less harsh…

Math, answers to the grid in:
7 (pizza)
12 (xy=24, x-y=12, x and y both pos. integers)
14 (2 right angles overlap, overall angle is 166 degrees, what is the overlap angle)
4500 (books on sale)
1/3 (area of triangle w/ base 1 and height 2/3)
2 (z=45x-60y, what is the smallest value x can be if z and y are both pos. integers)
3/7 (6n women and 8n men, probability of woman)
63 (y2 direct variation with (x+81), y2=k(x+81), y=5 and x=19 so k=.25, when y=6, x=63, k is constant)
5.5 (any decimal between 5 and 6, not inclusive. decimal/10 has to be between .5 and .6, not inclusive)
