PSAT Sat.

@buk, what was the Q?

Alaska is done. When will the cutoff scores be up?

OH also!
Do u remember the answer to the question about
why the painting of Socrates stood out to the man?
was it because his actions were impetuous or conciliatory?
And the last vocab,
So and so was less _______, he flouted something and disdained conservationism. or something. =] indecorous?

conciliatory made sense since he isn’t trying to fight i guess?

Yes that’s what I had.
College: I forgot the question. Lol.

Math = Easy
Writing = Easy
CR = eh…that’s my weak spot so I always think it’s hard :|

Hoping just for commended. I know my scores won’t be anywhere near the semifinalist cutoff. My highest score on a practice test has been 187, but maybe I got over 200?

wow, did horrible on math even though it was so easy, stupid mistakes ■■■■

cr and writing were easy, right?

Concilatory one was for the question that asked how he was before the painting.

Cr was hard
Math was easy
Writing was whatever.

@Ceiling I think the answer was punctilious (E) because it something about “carping” later on and the word had to be synonymous

I put punctilious, because it meant something like “on time”, and the guy is not “on time”, but “old fashioned”. I’m pretty sure I’m wrong tho.
For the second to last writing question, did you guys get something like “they had public support since the beginning?” I’m pretty sure I got that one wrong too.

Does anyone know the wording of the Alvarez question? I know that Alvarez “flouted convention and disdained conventions.” But was it unlike others (if so, the answer would be punctilious, or one who is overly concerned over or fastidious about old traditions) or was it describing him (where I suppose it would be indecorous)?

Edit: Carping was in a section 1 CR question; punctilious was in a section 2 CR question

^^ I put despite their intentions they were violent or something like that. Don’t know if it’s right though.

Does anybody remember the answer to the question that asked about “homo urbaneous” or something?

i think it was combative bc he said he was less of something so he tended to flout tradition instead.he wouldnt be less on a noncomformist so he flouts tradition. it would be hes less ready to fight so he just flouts traditions

Some student it was unlike his peers im pretty sure.

it was punctilious. indecorous doesn’t make sense. ARGHH that’s like. 3 in critical reading, i need that 220 for cali.

Writing: identifying errors
There was something were two sentences were connected with a comma and no conjunction.

IS THIS A MISTAKE IN THE TEST?

For the “homo urbanus” one, I said the one about coining a term for a trend or something.
