PSAT Score not predictive of SAT score.

I was wondering how well the PSAT predicted SAT performance. Traditionally the PSAT gives a slightly slower score, due to the academic improvement in the interval between the administration of the PSAT & SAT. However, in my class the PSAT scores somewhat failed to predict well. Here are a few, including me:
Student 1:
PSAT:213
SAT:202

Student 2:
PSAT:214
SAT:210

Then me:
PSAT:214
SAT: 233 (I'm happy about my score and not complaining)

The lack of correllation may be attributed to the increased difficulty of the math section in the SAT in comparison to the PSAT, a lengthier test, and the presence of an essay whereas the PSAT lacked one.

its bc the curve for last year's psat was horrible...

I went from a 204 to a 2320.

I had a worse PSAT score than SAT but I don't like either. But they were pretty similar. Only off by 20 points I think.

Ronlivs: Your jump is very impressive. Nice work ;)

I went from a 220 on the PSAT to a 2350 on the SAT. Not very similar, 150 points different, which can be considered a pretty formidable amount.

PSAT definitely a wrong gauge for the SAT. I found the math section to be harder as well.

Last year I got a 108 on the PSAT's and in January I got a 1370 on the SAT's. I don't really think they are a good indicator at all. My March scores have yet to be released.

I took the PSAT, old SAT I, and writing SAT II in the same year.

PSAT: 223
SAT: 1580
SAT II Writing: 800

It's all about knowing what's on the test and being mentally prepared.
I'm not excited about taking the new SAT in May :-(.

PSAT: 188
SAT: 206 (79m/66v/61w)

I studied a lot inbetween, and maybe with some more studying i can get to a 220?
