PSAT Score Question

I got a 1490 on my PSATs (I'm a junior). I know the score is really low, but I was sick that day and I didn't study. I am not making excuses but I studied for perhaps 30 minutes.

I am a very good student in school, I have a 3.8-3.9 GPA (UW) and a 4.40 GPA (W).

I have registered for the SATs on March 12th, 2010 and I will be taking Kaplan Test Prep from February 5th to March 2nd.

Will colleges look at my PSAT scores? Is this score really low, any moral support for me?

How will this hurt my chances for getting into school in California??

PSATs are only used to see if you qualify for NMF and as a practice for the SAT. Colleges won’t see them. See what your weak areas were and practice before the SAT. And try the ACT as an alternative since many people do better on one over the other.
