Hello..I recieved an 1870 on my PSAT, and am wondering what range i should be able to get on the SAT? im going to take the SAT definitely more than once but anyone have any ideas? i heard something like at 200 to your psat and thats basically what you got if it were the sat...?

uhhh, the psat is ranged from 60 to 240, 240 being the perfect score...how could you get 1870 on the psat? anyways, in order to convert, just takes ur psat score times 10, that should give you an approximation, although you DO have to take into account the essay on the SAT.

I think u meant 187 on the PSAT... just times that by 10, and that number will probably be within 100 points of what u get on the actual test. i.e. u r likely to get somewhere between 1770 and 1970 the first time u take the actual SAT, provided that nothing significant happens to ur brain and test-taking skills.

I agree with the above poster. Except in rare cases (i.e. you were sick that day or your dog died), your PSAT is a pretty good indicator of what your score will be on the SAT.

hmmm..187 not bad i had a 171 without studying..and my sat was a 1900 first time..then when i have it again it became a 2260..so you can improve ALOT! good luck!

yea the PSAT's r a good indication but it can all change i got 1860 first time on SAT's (Penn State Game Night Before :) ) and 209 on PSAT's now sittin at 2160 so they r good indication

I got a 184 on the PSAT but studied hard and got into the ~2200 range in the SAT

psats are a bad indication... i got a 206 on my psat and a 1950 the first time i took the sats. none of my scores were even within the range. 71 cr, 70 math, and 65 writing and on the sats i got a 620 in reading, 640 in math, and a 690 in writing...blah!
