Sigh…the phone idea didn’t work for me.
The lady said that the scores would be sent out to the schools. She told me that I “just have to wait patiently”. ![]()
I have to wait another 2 weeks…■■■.

fallpsat-How many did you get wrong for CR and Writing?

What states are you guys in that have gotten your scores? Knowing the mail out here in rural NC, it’ll be next week before I get mine :(

This thread is delightful :)

Mail? Last year, we just got ours from the school…

Lol, I feel like I’m the only CCer that won’t qualify for NM :P

pentupenguin, i won’t either
i lost track of time on the first two sections :(

Lol, I’m certainly not qualifying.

I reeeeeally want to know if I qualified. Calling didn’t work. I called NMSQT and they redirected me to collegeboard who said I’d have to wait for my school.

Ummm…is anyone else curious why the SCHOOLS have the right to OUR scores? Shouldn’t the TAKER get the scores first?

Or am I missing something? Why, exactly, can’t tCB release the scores to the PSAT like they do with the SAT?

Basically, why am I, the person who paid and took the test, beholden to my school’s schedule to see my scores?

Anyone who received their scores, can you comment on the curve. I made a mistake on math(oops), and messed up reading. I was wondering how the curve was? Just a rough comparison to last year’s would be great.

I thought this was crazy:

So this senior kid told me that SAT scores come out in 2 weeks? But PSAT comes out in 2 months?

WHAAAA? You would think PSAT would take less time because their is less entries and no essay?

I’m pretty sure the SAT is six weeks. But it makes sense that the PSAT would take longer because everybody takes it at the same time, not all spread out over different test dates.

SAT results always come out online in about 2 1/2 weeks, definitely not 6 weeks, unless you are talking about getting it in the mail.

^^ Yep, the SAT usually comes out the third thursday after the SAT, unless there’s a holiday like for November. It came out on a Tuesday that month.

Did anyone who took the Wednesday PSAT and got their results back find out the answer to the highly debated question about the thieves stealing the gem or whatever in the writing section?

For those lucky few who have already received their scores, can you post your scores + how many you got wrong per section?

That way, we can kind of figure out the curve :D

My daughter received her score in the mail yesterday (homeschooled). She took the Wednesday test.

College Board says the answer to the thieves question is “No error”. (Sorry I can’t figure out how to underline the options given as possible errors.)

That the theives were unable to sell the sculptures they had smuggled out of Sicily suggests that the market for stolen antiquities has shrunk.

Their explanation is: The present perfect verb phrase has shrunk is logically consistent with the present tense verb suggests that precedes it. It appropriately describes an action that began in the past and continues into the present (the shrinking or lessening of the demand for stolen antiquities).

The Writing Skills curve was pretty harsh. My d missed 2 (including the question above) and got a 71.

@NeedAVacation-
Thanks so much. I figured I had gotten that wrong, guess I did. Ugh. And I probably missed at least one more writing question. I’m surprised the curve was that harsh, though. While I thought the writing was easy, most of the other students I talked to said they thought they missed at least five (and those were AP students). Can you give an idea of the CR curve?

for people asking me curve questions and right and wrong questions, i dont know as i dont have my access code with me to login and check. i was one of the lucky one’s who could get my score through phone. at this time i just know my score.
