<p>so, i've heard a couple of different reports that psat scores have begun to arrive at schools. as of yesterday, not so in my school. </p>

<p>Schools vary wildly as to when they pass out the score reports. Depends on the workload of the counselors, if they want to have a "PSAT score explanation" presentation, etc. Some schools make students wait until February. </p>
<p>IMO, the entire PSAT/NM process is overly drawn out from test date to delivery of scores to receiving a letter stating you are recognized (around May) to notification of semifinalist (around September) or commended (around October) to notification of finalist (around January) to notification of scholarships (March through May).</p>
<p>@fireflyscout: actually i have a wonderful combatant for that problem. usually my school only notifies the high-scoring-nmsf potentials. BUT i asked my counselor if i could see my score as soon as they came while slyly borrowing a book. he told me sure and now that i know they're out early, i'll be returning the book soon and checking on the status. so, for me, it's an issue of arrival rather than policy. ha.</p>

<p>Yeah, I signed up via email to receive the scores when released and did not receive anything either. I would imagine that there would be a faster online release than via mail... it would make little sense, if any, otherwise. So I'm just going to guess mine's not out yet.</p>
<p>no, the scores won't be posted online til mid december. they will arrive at the schools in early december...or late november as it might seem.</p>

<p>I guess maybe they offer the service just in case the school doesn't want to report them right away or something... -sigh- I wonder if, on Monday morning, I can just go get mine then. Usually, my school has some assembly to explain the scores mid-December.</p>
<p>I think it's a bit odd though. If the information is already on a computer and already organized, couldn't they just have a program read and output it online? Hms. There are so many tests out; I can't imagine they'd do so much by hand when they could have things done efficiently electronically.</p>
<p>^Agreed. I checked my email as soon as I saw people have been getting PSAT scores because we just started our Thanksgiving break and won't be going back until Dec.1 but I'm dying to know!! Hopefully it'll be there when we get back!</p>

<p>my counselor promised to email me my scores when she received it.. she's about as excited as i am... but right now, havent heard anything from her yet</p>
<p>do scores usually come this soon? my school got the scores in early december last year...and they weren't distributed until mid-december..</p>

<p>It's pretty ridiculous that it takes about 2 months to even release the scores, and that printed scores come before online ones.</p>
<p>My counselor showed me my scores on Friday (I'm in PA). He, like most counselors, only shows them to NMSQT qualifiers. I wish he had given them to me so I could help you guys figure out the curve, he just showed me the scores and I was too excited to really look under them. I can tell you that I got ten more than I did on the practice test, if that helps you guys predict a little bit.</p>
