PSAT Scores Class of 2012

Has anyone from Colorado received their scores yet? My daughter took the PSAT last year in England and she got the scores in December. This year, nothing yet so I’m wondering if it’s the school or the state?

Sophomore scores
Math:73
CR:58
Writing:56
Total:187

Do I have a chance for NMS next year?

It depends on how much your scores improve.

does anyone happen to know some estimates for the cutoffs for semi finalists for national achievement? like are they usually around 180, 190, 200, 210…?

@hardlyworkin As long as you become a Finalist (99th percentile in your state, which varies; you can see the cut-offs [here](http://www.collegeplanningsimplified.com/NationalMerit.html)), your score is no longer taken into consideration when finalists are selected. So, a 220 is in equal standing with a 240, AFAIK.

thanks but i think u confused national achievement with national merit! national achievement scores are lower than national merit

My school FINALLY handed the scores out. They’ve been holding on to them for a month, because they wanted to figure out how to hand them out. They ended up throwing the box of scores on a table and having a member of guidance hand them out (Didn’t need a month to figure that out, but I digress).

I ended up getting a 216
Math: 76 (I essentially forgot how to do slopes for one problem XD )
Reading: 69 (I really thought I bombed this section, good to see I got the same score as last year)
Writing: 71 (I really thought I did better, but oh well. It’s good enough)

Since the Indiana cut off for the past 3 years for Semifinalist has been 211-213, I’m feeling pretty good. I’ll be angry if the cutoff goes up to 217 (unlikely, but still a possibility). I got 212 last year, and that would have just barely qualified me for Semifinalist (unfortunately, Sophomores can’t qualify).

212 Ohio
whew…right on the cutoff

fingers crossed now for fall

if the cutoff was 212 last year it means that it includes 212 right?

I live in Illinois and I have still not received my scores. No one in my school has, yet.

NUUUU 218 NOT ENOUGH FOR CALI (219 cutoff last year) i wish i lived in some other state =
69 CR 80 M 69 W. lol @ the 69’s

Got score yesterday - hit last year’s cut-off on the botton. Gonna have to sweat it out for a little while - bummer.

Is it true that you can log in on collegeboard.com after january 15 to view your scores without an access code?

236 on PSAT! i’m delighted.

Didn’t do so well
CR-76
Math-66
Writing-58
200

Most likely not commended?

rdpgn105 Is it true that you can log in on collegeboard.com after january 15 to view your scores without an access code?

If you put your email on the answer/info sheet, you should have already or will receive an email with an access code in it. You can then enter this code into the CB website and your score report for 2010 will show up. I got my email today. :)

Got a 219, meh. Live in WA State and cutoff past few years is 217,217,218. I think I just barely made it, any opinions?

Does anyone know what we do if there is an error in the grading for our PSAT…cuz i think they messed up on two of my questions :c

You’re probably OK.

After getting a 200 in both freshman and sophomore year…

CR: 76
M: 69
WR: 80

TOTAL: 225

(WOOT!)

I’m in Texas, by the way. We’re usually around 216… barring any freak incidents in testing this time around, it looks like this should cut it.

216 sophomore went down to a 210… Little unhappy haha
