PSAT Scores Curve

In this thread, i would like everybody to copy the previous format, with the inclusion of their own # of full points off (Do not say how many you got wrong, say -5 if you got 4 wrong), and what score it equals. Please also edit the overall percentile ranges, to include your score. For example, if you got a 200 and that was the 96th percentile, but the range said 201-205, move it down one to then fit your score. I am only interested in the range of people who got 95th percentile and higher. I will start the format below including my info. Please put Wednesday info to the left of the '/' and Saturday's info to the right.

Someone said 8 wrong in Math on Saturday = 62.

Did anyone get three wrong in Writing on Saturday? I think I went 80 in CR, 62-67 in Math and either I think I got 3 or 4 wrong in Writing.

Thanks for all the help.

It's nearly impossible to figure out the math curve. If Joe X got 7 math multiple choice problems wrong and not grid in's wrong his score using last year's math curve would be a 63. If Joe Y got 2 math multiple choice problems wrong and 5 grid in's wrong his score using last year's math curve would be a 66.

It all depends on where you make your math mistakes and how many omits you make. I'm hoping my 1 omit will be the difference between -1.50 and -1.75.

-1 to 76 for math/writing is harsh.

detritivore... it isn't impossible, i understand that theres a difference between omitting and getting a question wrong on a m/c or on a fill-in-the-blank. That's why you are NOT saying how many you got wrong. You are saying your net score away from perfect. So, if you got 4 m/c wrong, and then 2 fill-in-the-blank's, you would say you got minus 6 (for six questions wrong) minus another 1 off (1/4 point off for each of the 4 m/c), giving you a net of -7. Always round to the nearest point (with -0,-.25, and -.5 rounding to -0, and -.75 and -1 rounding to -1). So, if you got 6 wrong, that would be -6 and -1.5, or -7.5, then just say you only got -7. Thanks! ANd for the future, can we please not comment about the curve, just post add your info.. THanks again!

naidu90 -- I thought when you updated the curve, you had included you scores. My bad.

what kind of conflicting scores?

look at the posts by me and naidu

i'm using scores posted by others
