PSAT Scores.. Should I Bother?

i'm currently a sophomore and i took the PSATs in Pennsylvania. however, in november, i moved to virginia. last week, i called my school in Pennsylvania, and they just gave me my PSAT score verbally. but the address that i put on my PSAT test was my address in PA. are there certain programs that send information to sophomores with certain scores? should i bother asking them to change my address? thanks.

Taking the PSAT as a sophomore does nothing for college, the score isn't recorded. You aren't eligible for anything.

However, if you checked that box that said you wanted to receive stuff from colleges, you will miss out on receiving various form-letters from colleges. I probably got about 400 after taking the test sophomore year, but only maybe 3-4 were good (invitation to various summer programs, just made me aware they were out there). It's not major though.

PSAT sophomore year is, as already stated, WORTHLESS. Junior year it is ONLY important and helpful if you plan on getting above the equivalent of a 1450-1500 on the SAT. If you don't plan on getting that....it's worthless.

I agree with the previous post.

What if you want to apply to summer programs that require your PSAT score...such as RSI!!

You apply to RSI only in your junior year, so for the OP the sophomore scores won't matter.
Ask CB to change your address, which should help redirect some of the college mailings.
