i am a freshman i high school and i just got back my psat scores.
195 (95 % of sophomores)
61 in math (92% of sophomores) this was because i have not learned most of the math
63 in reading comprehension (96% of sophomores)
71 in writing skills (99% of sophomores)
i am applying to prestigious boarding school like andover. should i send these scores or basically will they help me or hurt me?

You can send them, but it’s overkill and not really necessary. You will be evaluated on the SSAT or ISEE scores. They’re mandatory.

ok i was applying to episcopal too and they offer merit scholarships. they told me that i could send both.
i got a 2301 on the ssat with 97% overall
Does that plus the 195 seem on track?

If any school tells you to send both - DEFINITELY send both. Really if you send to other schools it won’t hurt. Some students tend to send too much stuff, which is why I urged caution.

And yes - you sound like a good candidate for merit aid. Congrats on your scores! Good luck!

wait… you got your psat scores already?! s;rogihdrfk;

yea i got 195 on psat and 28 on PLAN which was kind of a fail even though I’m a freshman

195 is hella good for a freshman.
i got in the 170s freshman year and improved to a 229 junior year, and i just recently found out that I’m a National merit finalist.
