PSAT & summer programs

I'm applying to these summer programs that require your PSAT score and/or SAT score. One of the applications is due April 1, and my March SAT (which I'm taking) isn't out till April 2 so I have no choice but to send only my PSAT score, which was a 210. Ok, yes, it's not bad, but it's not particularly good either. And the application gives me nowhere to write my separate scores for each section, as my strength is in math (75) but no one can tell that from my combined score.

I also took the SAT in 8th grade... and got a 213 (surprisingly better than my psat score) so should I send that too? But it's also pretty low.

Also, I really want to explain to the summer program people that my school told me PSAT bore NO significance at all and to just go in without studying at all. BAD IDEA, as only I believed the school, and everyone else studied like crazy... We also had to take the PSAT in a freezing room and it was extremely uncomfortable... But then I just sound like I'm making excuses...

Should I explain this at all? And will my relatively low psat score prevent me from being accepted to this program?

THANKS!!!

I think summer programs do ask for your score break-down. And I agree that the people will most likely see your challenges as excuses. 210 is fine. If you are applying to a math-oriented program your score won't be a problem. Also, you can always send in your march SAT score later (like an update) after you've received it.
