Which is more common, people having a better SAT than PSAT or the other way around? I was just wondering because I often see people posting their scores, and it seems more common that people do better on their SAT.

I, on the other hand, have done much worse on my SAT. Here are my scores:

Sopmore PSAT - 224 (68CR 80M 76W)
Junior PSAT - 227 (76CR 80M 71W)

Junior SAT (January) - 2120 (670CR 800M 650W)
Junior SAT (March) - 2120 (680CR 720M 720W)

Is there any significant difference in the difficulty level of the SAT and PSAT, or do I just not have the ability to stay focused for the longer test (lol)?

I actually found the PSAT to be substantially harder, which is actually why I think that it is really good preparation for the SAT. I didn't do any prep for the SAT besides taking the PSAT my sophomore and junior years, and my SAT score was significantly better.

Sophomore PSAT: 179
CR: 63, Math: 54, Writing: 62

Junior PSAT: 190
CR: 61, Math: 64, Writing: 65

Junior SAT: 2040
CR: 670, Math: 720, Writing: 650

PSAT is definitely easier. I think the math is 1 year below the SAT math. also, no essay. I think the CR and W MC questions are comparable though

Sophomore: 198
Junior: 214

SAT: 2090

I found the SAT harder than the PSAT, yet got a better score on it.

PSAT: Junior year, 182. I don't remember my sophmore score but it was around there.

SAT: 1930.

I thought the PSAT was harder when I was taking it, but I ended up doing better.

Sophomore: 206
Junior: 228

SAT: 2230

I thought the PSAT was harder at the time.

PSAT (Junior): 225 (80 M, 77 CR, 68 W)
SAT: 2320 (800 M, 730 CR, 790 W)

I must be the only one here who didn't take the PSAT as a sophomore (I didn't have a sophomore year).

i did better on the psat.

PSAT: 214 (I forget the individual area scores.
SAT: 2080 (690 R, 690 M, 700 W)

I've even taken the SAT twice and those are my highest scores in each area. I know, not very good.

I got a 2040 on the PSAT and a 2080 on the SAT. My scores stayed in the same ranges:

PSAT CR:710 SAT: 720
PSAT W: 750 SAT: 800
PSAT M: 580 SAT: 560

I thought the W on the 2006 PSAT had an harsh curve: -2 was a 75.

Soph. PSAT: 73W, 80M, 69CR Composite 222
Junior PSAT: 80W, 80M, 72CR Composite 232
March SAT: 770W, 760M, 760CR Composite 2290
June SAT: 800W, 780M, 770CR Composite 2350

I didn't find the PSAT easier, but checking out the scores I got, it would seem like the SAT CR is easier and the SAT Math is harder (though I think both times it was just a few dumb errors).

Sophomore PSAT- 198
Junior PSAT- 209

Junior (January)- 2010
Junior (June)- 2160

PSAT is way easier. 187 PSAT, but a 2120 SAT

Sophomore PSAT: 196
Junior PSAT: 208

Junior SAT (November): 2030
Junior SAT (May): 2220

It's funny, I seem to feel less confident leaving the testing center after a better performance. I felt great after my sophomore PSAT and my first SAT, but the scores weren't that great. After my junior PSAT and my second SAT however, I felt miserable - certain of having done worse - but on those occasions I've done better (but by no means very well).

relitively the same difficultty i think....one is just longer

freshman PSAT - 19x
sophomore PSAT - 204
junior PSAT - 229

SAT March - 2190
SAT June - 2310

lol march was a bomb....i showed my real potential in june
