PSAT watch timer Question

Hello I am taking the PSAT in October and I recently bought a watch with a silent timer (sound was removed from the watch so it won't beep). I have read a couple of threads in which people said they had used a watch timer during the test. They even said they put the watch on their desk. However I checked the CollegeBoard website and it says
"During the test, students may have nothing on their desks but:

A test book
An answer sheet
No. 2 pencils with erasers
For math sections only, a calculator

Prohibited items:

Watch alarms

Does that mean I can't bring a watch with a timer? Please clarify.
Thanks in advance.

If it’s silent (i.e. makes no beep) then I don’t see any problem with bringing one in…

That’s what I plan to do then. Thanks rspence. Do you think I can get away with it on my desk?

Maybe…I guess it depends on how strict the proctor is. The testing room usually has a clock and the proctor will write down what time the section starts/ends.
