PSAT Wednesday,October 17- How was it??

^ Saturday seems to have better curves. LOL
Math is none for sure. That's how it always seems.
CR.. last year it was -1 =80.
WR is probably none.

Math kicked my ass. CR and Writing took me like half the time, but that's where my strengths are, so no surprise.

This was my first time taking it. It was a lot easier than I expected, though. Only a couple of the vocab questions really had me stumped.

I think he said we CAN discuss multiple choice

Are you able to take the psat on both test days?

I thought it was ok. I realized what I did wrong for that last math question everyone's talking about right after the section ended and that kinda made me mad haha. I'm not sure about writing- i thought i did well, but geez I really had to use the bathroom! Our procter would not give us a break! It was like, "Okay stretch break! Everyone lift your arms in the ai-GETBACKINYOURSEATS! We're starting now!"

So I was kinda flustered towards the end, but I guess it was alright.

Does Florida usually have a pretty high threshold for National Merit Finalists?

Did anyone else think writing was significantly easier than usual? Or at least not very many tricky ones?

If you put your name and school name, but do not put the social security # then would you be fine? Would you still get your correct score back? Our counselor did not give us any time to put our social security # or address etc. Would we still get our correct scores back with only our names and school name?

If you didn't put the info for a certain part on the back, then you can't win the national merit scholarship thing. I know you don't need the social security number, but I can't say how much stuff you can leave out.

Last year it was 212. This year, it'll probably be anywhere from 212-215.

highhope, we were told that the ssn was completely optional so you should be fine.

Moderator perhaps you would repeat your warning on the high school thread where there is five pages of discussion on the questions and answers to todays PSAT.

oh get over it, we're just trying to figure out how we did.

Eh..I'm hoping for 200+ but not so sure..I agree that math was much easier this year..last year I left almost all the free response blank, and this year I knew them all..

ok one question was really weird.

do they omit "werid" questions? or do they just make everyone get it wrong?

wouldnt they just make the ones who got it wrong be wrong?

UnleashedFury and Ravi7791: Thanks a lot. That answers my question.

"Moderator perhaps you would repeat your warning on the high school thread where there is five pages of discussion on the questions and answers to todays PSAT."

Looks as if they did, because that thread is now "invalid". Thanks a lot :(

what does that mean? you can still post on it, what does its invalidness do?

Moderator here.

That thread was deleted because specific questions and answers were being exchanged. I suppose we could have left it active and see if any of the questions appeared on Saturday's test, thereby skewing the curve..... ;)
