Do colleges keep track of the number of times you take the PSAT? Would taking it twice look bad?

No; everybody takes the PSAT multiple years.

At my school it is mandatory to take it both sophomore and junior year, so no, taking it twice doesnt look bad.

Do colleges even look at an applicant’s PSAT? Technically, the PSAT is a practice test for the SAT.

Well the PSAT gives you the chance to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship, if you do then yes, colleges will look at it. If you don’t it may not help drastically in the admissions process but it could help show your progression on the SAT’s or something else of the like.

No way. Some people don’t even take the PSAT at all. I know that at my school, it was strongly suggested, but not everyone took it.

thank you everybody!
