Psat

hi,

I just got back my PSAT, and I got a 670 in CR, 730 in math (which = 1400 old :D ), but I also got only a 47 in writing :( . I honestly have no idea how that happened, but what will schools think when I show them this?

I'm interested so far in:
-University of Washington
-WUSTL
-Northwestern (ED)
-Michigan
-University of Oregon
-University of Notre Dame
-UNC-CH (ED 2)

So will I pretty much get rejected from these schools (which are my reaches except UW and UO) since my writing section is bad despite my decent old SAT score?

Also, I got 92% overall. Is that decent?

thanks in advance

The schools won't do anything because they never see your PSAT scores. The only thing they will see is your SAT. The purpose for the PSAT is so that you can get some practice and know what you need to work on before you take the SAT. So do some prep work and try and get higher scores on your SAT. Also, a lot of schools are not giving very much weight to the writing portion of the test at this point. Finally, try the ACT as well since some folks to better on it than on the SAT.
