What are the qualifications for becoming a national merit semi-finalist or finalist in CT? If someone could let me know that would be great. I got a 215 when I took it as a sophomore without really studying and I just wanted to know what I have to do to improve before I take the test as a junior. Thanks!

I know that 215 is a pretty good score! I think you may already have a qualifying score, as 215 is high for most states

Just a question? We officially find out in August right?

215 as a sophomore without studying is pretty good. You probably have a great shot at NMSF.

I believe CT was 218 last year. You have a great shot next year. Good luck.

You have a very good shot. Plus, unless you studied a lot for the PSAT this year, your scores should just raise on the PSAT with another year under your belt. I did not study for the PSAT my sophmore or my junior year and I got a 183 my sophomore year, and ended up with a 219 my junior year, which was enough to qualify me in my state.
