Psat

So I got a 208 last year [Sophomore] on the PSAT. I need a 213~215 to get NMS Semi's+ for my state, if things go as they did last year. Ideally I'm shooting for a 12 point increase - equaling a 220 on the PSAT. Now I have this PSAT book and I've taken a few tests. How does one go about raising a PSAT score? I took a practice test to find that I get the same scores I did last year. :/ not particularly a good sign, eh? Is there a more efficient way to raise a score than simply taking a test over and over again?

Cheers.

Eliminate your weaknesses and just study and practice those. For example, if you are good at math, try to work on something that you aren’t so good at like maybe vocabulary or reading comprehension or something. Then go even further and study the types of questions you tend to miss. In this case if you miss writing questions are they parallelism, correct as written, or modifier types of questions. Check to see if there is a pattern in how you miss your questions, do you tend to miss questions at the end because you are rushed for time? or do you tend to miss questions at the beginning because you just speed through those first couple without reading them clearly?
These are my tips and that’s how I practiced. Also of course keep doing practice tests and keep working hard.
Good luck!
