Recently my S got his PSAT score report from school, but I don't have any ideas at all, here's his result :
critical reading : 35/48 92%
math : 34/38 99%
writing : 35/39 98%
Overall : 194/240 95%

What should be the total marks in general ? Is it good or bad ?

The PSAT is a college related test, not prep school, so this discussion should move there. That being said, 194 is quite good. If he is a high school soph. , he will have one more shot taking the PSATs which will count for some possible scholarships and/or national recognition. If he is already a junior, although he has done well, he is very unlikely to be in the running for any recognition at the state/national level. (He would need to break 200 at the least), although there are some programs for minorities that he might qualify for.
