PSATs Improvement and New Style SATs?

I'm a sophomore, and I just received my PSAT scores, 68 in math, 64 reading, 62 writing... so that projects to about a 1940 if I were to take the SATs. So my questions are 1) how greatly did your SAT scores improve from PSATs to SATs and 2) would it be beneficial for me to take the SATs this spring before the format changes and before I start preparing for the SATs my junior year? Thanks for any input :)

I can’t answer #1.

2. Yes, you could take the SAT before the new SAT arrives and after, and decide what did you better on.

Or you could always just take the ACT instead.

My SAT score decreased from my PSAT score. The SAT is longer and more stressful. Sophomore SAT: 2210. Sophomore PSAT: 231.

If you can get a good score, then go for it. However, you don’t know how colleges will look at it, so unless you get a good score, don’t do it.

Normally, I support SAT. This is a changing period, and it would be easier and better to study the ACT instead.
