PSATs tomorrow!

Dun dun duunnn!!!
Just took a practice one. I did good on writing, made a few stupid mistakes on math, but not so hot on reading. It just seems like there are 2 right answers for some of the reading questions. Any good strategies to do well on reading?

HOnestly, the best strategy for reading is just to read it. Don't try to save time by taking shortcuts or anything.

I haven't done any prepping and I'm not going to. I did fine last year and the PSAT really doesn't matter all that much unless you're going for national merit, which would be nice but there's no guarantees I would get that with prepping anyway.

Oooooh, PSAT's tomorrow for me too.

I'm a sophomore though, so I'm not worrying too much. For strategies to do well on reading, I suppose you could skim the questions first, then go and read the passage. Might save some time.

The joys of being a senior...:p

Sore subject for me. I misse dthe commendee cutoff by 4 points, thanks in no small part to my idiot proctor printing **** on her loud as hell ghetto printer the entire time.

high school students SHOULD TAKE PSAT EVERY SINGLE DAY!
- just from a senior's perspective lol i don't have to go to school then :p

Serious, for CR, just read it first. Trust me, I've done the short cuts every time. It is just so much easier if you just READ it and incorporate your short cuts after reading it.

lol that was really funny Vyse
I am SO DAMN HYPER from all this chocolate and i know i need to sleep cuz i take this thing first thing tomorrow morning .. but i can't stop FIDGETING!! AHAHAHA AHHH H jfhafldasl; ;af
there are 65 people taking this thing tommorow, so we do it in the cafeteria, so there's no way there would be a loud as hell ghetto printer distracting us lol . . but my bro and i sit right next to each other (cuz of alphabetical order) & last year we were separated during a state test cuz they thought we would cheat :(
OH yeah i'm going back to verbal during the math sections because I usually finish those early and verbal is like .. difficult
And I'm taking some chocolate with me in my pocket because I need a pick-me-up during the test; I don't think we get breaks or anything . .

... You skip ahead? During the REAL PSAT? Oh, you naughty girl!

We get like... 5 second stretches.

i hate reading critical reading passages... with a passion. i hope its actually somewhat interesting so i dont fall asleep

but the math, is so awesome (and creepily easy)

good luck to everyone taking PSATs tomorrow!

are u sure i should read the whole thing? Princeton review told me i should just look at the questions first and then go look for the answers where they are.

Thanks to the PSAT, I don't have to go to school at all tomorrow.

Good luck on it though. Don't stress out too much, it's really not that important

People who get to skip school are SOOO lucky. I'm going to be doing my physics homework right before the PSAT. thanks procrastination!
