PSEO questions

Hi, Im a sophomore in MN and I was wondering how to apply to PSEO? And whether it matters what college you go to for PSEO? I have a 3.9 gpa. These are/were my classes
9th grade: honors english, arabic 1, dance, algebra 2, piano, AP geo, and fitness 4 life.
10th grade: AP stats, AP lit, us history, arabic 2, team sports, and honors chemistry.

My counselor doesnt know me at all haha so Im not sure who to ask about PSEO. I want to take it full time junior and senior year but I dont know where I want to go and when to apply. I got a 24 on the pre ACT the beginning of freshman year without studying whatsoever. I play a very competitive sport and was a starter on varsity as a freshman
Im not sure which colleges would fit me best. Im not sure how to apply. I live in mpls and would prefer to go around mpls. I just dont really know how to get started.
Any comments would be appreciated,
Thanks.

(sorry idk how to delete this comment so I’ll just edit it)

I am currently a senior doing PSEO at the UMN! For this reason, this comment is mainly going to be about the U. Here is a link where you can find all the info on how and when to apply to the U: https://ccaps.umn.edu/post-secondary-enrollment-options-pseo

Hmm, if you plan to go to college in MN in the future, then I think that you can do pseo at a community college and the credits will transfer. However, if you plan to go out of state (I’m not sure about states nearby MN), then community college credits will most likely not transfer. On the other hand, if you do pseo at the umn, then the credits will most likely transfer to other state schools. However, I would still double check with your pseo advisor (whether it’s at the community college or university you go to). So overall, I think it does matter where you do pseo if you are planning to go out of state for college.

I have a friend who is also doing pseo, but at a community college (North Hennepin). She says that it’s very easy, easier than AP classes even. I, on the other hand, am struggling to get A’s at the U. But this may be because I am taking math and science classes. I don’t find social studies and English classes as challenging, so if you are planning to do pseo at the U, I would definitely recommend you take social studies and English classes your first semester just so you have a feeling on the difficulty and then take math and science courses later on!

Basically, if you want an easier work load then do it at a community college (you can check to see if they have pseo on their website and it should state the application process) but if you want a challenge, then do it at the U. You could always start pseo at a community college during your junior year, and transfer to the U your senior year if you would like!

Good luck, and if you have any more questions feel free to ask
