Has anyone been accepted into the u pseo program for the fall of 2011?

I haven’t received a letter as well. On the U’s website, they said that they mailed the letters on the 31st of May. I’m hoping tomorrow will be the day for the letters to arrive.

Good Luck!

Thanks. I just hope i get accepted. Have u done pseo at the u?

No. I am applying as a Senior. I was rejected last year, so hopefully, I get in this year.
You will probably get in because I looked at your past posts and you have stellar grades.

I’m glad someone on this site has actually posted a question on PSEO U of M haha. Let my know if you have any questions.

Kenny

I dont really think ill get in. You will probs get in so what classes are u planning on taking?

I really don’t know, but I would take political science courses. I’ll take many unique coursea to see what interests me. How about you?

Politics are soo interesting. Im going to take math and english courses bc i dont share the same strict catholic views as her and that affects my grade haha

Do u know why its so hard to get into the u pseo?

I got my acceptance letter today for 13 credits, and believe me, I was not expecting it. My GPA (unweighted) is 3.64, set to stay the same or dip slightly this semester, and I went to an online school this year. Neither of these are impressive at all, so my essays and apparently rigorous coursework both years must have clinched it.

I’m a sophomore right now and will be majoring in Computer Science once I get into college “for real”. I’m also female, which may have bolstered my chances if they’re into females in tech.

I’m sure they feel you have to demonstrate enough maturity in your essays to handle yourself in a more advanced environment – although judging by some of the UMN students I’ve seen, this isn’t necessarily very difficult. When I attended the orientation they said that more than 1,000 students applied last year for 500 spots, so it’s reasonably competitive but not outrageously so. Still, if your grades are above the average (3.7), I’m assuming you’re a shoo-in considering mine.

I’m also accepted as well.

Haha i wasnt accepted

I got into the Us PSEO last year, but opted out and went to mctc instead. It will be easier for certain classes and especially for scheduling, and you will still get college credit.

Pinkberry13,

That’s too bad. I’m still shocked that you did not get in. Oh well, it may be for the best. Look at the bright side, you get to stay in highschool with your friends. Work hard and reapply for your Senior year. I made it with full-time load, except I might opt out for part-time because I want to slowly transition into college.

Is a full load 13 credits? UMN’s site indicates that, but I’m not 100% sure.

Sorry you didn’t get in, pinkberry13.

Its the middle of the night right now. I just checked my mail. I got accepted to the U’s pseo program!

Yea, a full-time load is 12-16 credits. It said this on my admission paper.

Pinkberry, u might still have a chance, some people are applying as seniors and they could have messed up updated transcripts which coulg possibly get u a spot

Can you explain that again. If Pinkberry does have a chance, then good for him/her. I still need to make an appointment on Monday.
