PSETs

I finished Calculus BC a week ago, so I was working through the psets for 18.01. They seem to be interesting problems, the type I like, because they each emphasize a concept. It isn't like those repetetive problems in the textbook I have.

Also, I was wondering, if I take multivariable and differential equations at the uni, do I automatically get transfer credit? What about other courses?

Freshmen Year:
AP Statistics(4 :( )

Sophomore:
AP Calculus BC(5 most likely) (self-study)
AP Physics B (4/5)
AP Computer Science AB

Here is what I am taking next year

Junior Year:
Numerical Analysis
Introduction to Comlex Systems
Multivariable part1
Multivariable part2
Graph Theory
Calculus Based Statistics(extends AP stat which I took last year.)
Advanced Algorithms(CS)

Senior Year:
Differential Equations
Linear Algebra
Fractal Chaos Theory.
Other stuff tba... they gotta figure it out.

So what can I get credit for, and how?

you dont automatically get transfer credit. you will have to send in a copy of the syllabus, and a copy of the table of contents plus what chapters you studied, and probably something else, I forget. i know quite a few people who've taken classes and didn't get transfer credit--but taking the same class again is a lot easier the second time around.

I doubt you will get credit for other courses unless you take them at a uni, you can probably ask to take the placement exams.

mit doesnt take ap physics b, or ap comp sci.

more info about credit and ap exams can be found here and here.

Ok. Thanks! Well, it won't be at a uni exactly. It will be at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics(11 got in to MIT!) where they work it in conjunction with DUKE, but we don't get the uni credit. Just the HS credit.
