Yes Altoona was my 2nd choice. Since the day I sent out my app it had a picture of the UP campus and just this morning it changed to an Altoona picture

@PSU I’m sure with what others have said it’s the campus you got into.

If that is such at this moment then, everyone who is getting accepted is supposedly getting accepted to their second choice…prob UP is out of seats for priority

Oh well, at least Pitt wants me

Don’t get any d’s!

Got coming days status today, picture and information is still University Park. Hope that means what I think it means.

Status changed! University Park still showing… But D checked the summer box, too! D prefers fall, but summer start will do.

Good luck all!

I noticed on the 2017 posts from last year that international students and out of states got notification acceptance earlier than in state/tri state students.

Hey guys

I am literally going insane. I applied September 16th and have been anxiously waiting since. I have a 3.4 with 14 AP/CHS/Honors classes and a 1860 SAT (650/620/590). Do you guys still think i have a chance?

Pic stayed at UP.
I got in with an 1840:)
720 on math but I had a toefl score of 110( 90th percentile) so they overlooked my cr and writing score…
College Of engineering

My son’s status changed overnight to coming days. He got his application in the first week of september. The pic did not change from UP…so fingers crossed!

Just curious, is there a picture change for someone who does not get in when it says final days? I applied 9/1 and it still says we are reviewing your credentials. I also applied directly to summer so Im expecting to hear in the next two weeks.

Nothing yet hopefully it changes soon!

Whats the difference between applying directly to summer and checking summer in the application? I applied to Fall 2014 and i checked the “willing to do summer session box” is that the same thing?

Some have said it changed…the thread “Was i not Accepted to Main” says it changed to Altoona pic and info.

Answers to some of your questions

1) when you select “willing to do summer session box”…you’re first considered for fall and then if they are not able to offer you admission there…they move to the summer option and review you for that.
—just like–> University Park : Altoona::Fall:Summer( get the analogy?)

2) Pic stays at UP( Accepted/ Rejected if you applied only to that branch)
Pic changes to any other campus …it is exactly what it means( Alternate Branch)
Pic changes to Nittany Lion( rejected…probably a false notion…not sure about this one)

3) We are reviewing your credentials—> coming days
this change is a totally random process…I’ve seen competitive applicants hear earlier though…I applied on 28/11(not a competitive applicant) and I was accepted recently…so you see its completely random…
Also it depends on when your transcripts were processed by the university.

4) Status changed to coming days?
the wait is nearly over…you’ll have your decision in 1-3 business days( got mine the next to next day(4:00 AM …yeah couldn’t sleep:)

Hope I helped some of you. Anything else i missed out?

5) what makes me an expert?
read over 100 threads regarding these matters…so yeah

My son applied for engineering in early September. He still has: reviewing credentials with University Park picture. He got an email stating that his admissions decision would be made by 1/31/14. So, the wait is almost over. He applied directly for summer admission.

SAT score was 1790

Hooks:
His dad, grandfather and I are all alumni. His sister is currently there as a junior.
He is an eagle scout.

Finally, got the coming days message…unbelievably nervous

Daughter applied to PSU main architecture program. Status hasn’t changed yet. Anyone else admitted or still waiting for response for architecture??

@pensfan
I’ve got a good friend who applied and got in for architecture (he’s changed his major now) and he told me that the architecture school has a different admissions timeline than the other schools and that he did not hear until March.

@Butschal

Thank you for the information! That makes me feel much better. I didn’t see very many on here saying they got admitted, now I know why.
