My status changed last night to coming days around 7 and then changed to accepted today at 7 … Good luck @hopmayer I think your going to get in

ahhhh! mine changed in the past hour or so to “coming days” so hopefully sooner than later!! i’m trying not to get my hopes up, but i love everything about this school! it’s not one of the happiest colleges in america for nothing :)

Hopmayer: I googled the time to Lehigh and it said 2:45. Seems about right to me. Still not too bad, when love is at hand. Best of luck.

@pennsydad still so much better than the 6 hr drive it is now!! totally fine with me. thanks!!

Hopefully you will find out tomorrow… I’m rooting for you

Omg, I called them yesterday after Smeal rejection and got in just now to DUS for fall. AHH!!!

I am in the same situation. Rejected from Smeal, accepted at Altoona.

I have a 3.2 uw and and 1820, what should I do???

@Ron, give them a call.

Stay humble with the admissions officer and tell them the truth about how you really want to go to PSU. I got accepted the next day and haven’t been happier :)

@delete If you can swing summer you should. It’s a great way to ease into college life and get the lay of the land before the campus is swamped and you are carrying a full course load. It’s also a great opportunity to meet people in a more relaxed setting. I’ve never met anyone who regretted going summer. My daughter was planning to go summer even if she got in Fall - she was accepted into Summer so for us it just makes it easier to secure the courses she wants. Just my 2cents.

Hello all-

I want to wish all of you good luck on your acceptances. My D is a Freshman at UP and absolutely loves it. Only thing she dislikes is the very cold weather! She had applied to the college of Liberal Arts for Fall admission ( 2013). She had a 3.7 GPA with 1870 SAT score.

As it turned out she started in the summer ( 2013) , rather than Fall because she wanted to attend the LEAP program for Freshman. You will get a brochure about this once accepted or you can search for it online. It stands for Learning Edge Academic Program. I would highly recommend this program for those that are going for summer. She took 2 classes, and made a lot of friends, plus it acclimated her to the campus.

UP has so much to offer. My D. pledged a sorority, and hosts a weekly talk radio show with her roommate on Penn State Com Radio. Penn State was her first choice and she was thrilled to be accepted. She is dorming in East Halls which houses all Freshman. For the most part she likes it there, but bathrooms are old and definitely something to get used to.

Best of luck to those still waiting to hear.

Just got the coming days message and my picture is still UP. Excited and crazy nervous! Has anyone with UP as their picture not gotten in??

@carly135 what’s her major??

She is majoring in Criminology with a possible double major in Broadcast Journalism ( College of Communications)

@carly135 omg broadcast journalism is my intended major!!! AH

@tallerthanyou - did you have an alternate campus or summer session option when you did your application

@hopmayer Great major at UP. Best of luck!

Oh my this wait! Every time I click refresh my heart just stops, so far the picture is still on UP. zzzzz I’ll check once more at 12 then I’ll wait for the morning…

@asr60396 I had an alternate campus, and I didn’t apply for summer

@hopmayer…fingers crossed for you. Maybe we will see you on March 9 at The accepted students reception in Newtown.

@hopmayer
I think 3 hours is more like it between State College and Lehigh, but it’s still a lot closer than Massachusetts!
