Other Factors: SO so so so happy I got in. PSU is my dream school!!! Applied on September 1st and application was marked complete around September 25th-30th. I changed my major from engineering to undecided about a week ago. Checked this morning and there was an acceptance!! Good luck to everyone else who applied and congrats to everyone who has been accepted!!! It seems like acceptances are rolling out much quicker this year.

I’m sort of curious too, my son’s applying premed and included summer, but his stats are much higher than accepted so far.

@juliacollege Yea!! The strategy I suggested seems to have worked out for you! Congratulations! Now you can work on your engineering ETM’s while you are DUS.

For everyone else considering switching to DUS AFTER they get a denial, keep in mind that when you do that, you get put in the back of the line. I was concerned about this last year because my D applied DUS from the start, and I kept seeing people denied from their first choice major and say they were going to call to switch to DUS, and my D hadn’t even heard yet. My D called and they told her that all applications in the line would be considered and decided upon before any that were headed for their second go around. Also, PSU doesn’t offer you a second choice major. You either get in or not based on your stats and then if you want reconsidered for a different major you have to call and resubmit under that choice. They will not say, “You are not in for Engineering, but if you want DUS you are in”. They may offer you different campus choices, but they won’t offer you different major choices.

Question from international here. I see so many people get accepted so soon, and I have yet to send transcripts, will there be slot availability? I’ll get everything in by November 30, so shouldn’t be a problem right?

Just spoke to admissions, it doesn’t matter if they marked summer, it won’t slow down the process…

I’m going for undecided engineering at college of eng. Not sure if this affects decisions

And how’s the admissions for the honor college for internationals? I mean, of course they’re gonna be tough, but how can I stand out? I believe my grades are on par, any other factors? Essays are currently under prep. SATs not needed? Or are they?

@skyblade1234 This is a thread decision thread. The best thing to do is start a chance me thread.

@skyblade1234 International priority filing date is February 1st. So you have plenty of time. There will still be spots, don’t worry!

Has anyone heard back yet for criminology?

@zipbags , I’ve already got one, I just wanted to confirm these stuff here. Thanks for the input @jlhpsu

@skyblade1234 No problem…Figured you might get more responses that way.
