PSU Class of 2021 Decision Thread

Congratulations to everyone who has gotten in, twitter is really blowing up with acceptances too.

Also, how are decisions being released over the weekend? Do Admissions reps work weekends or something?

@hasannadeem47 i’ve heard of some schools hiring people for the admissions review process, considering there’s around 50,000 application’s to go through, I wouldn’t be shocked if I were told so.

What is the twitter account that shows acceptances? @hasanna

@nhenry123 https://twitter.com/PSU_Admissions

You can also just search for “penn state accepted” or “#psu2021

@thickmancollege cool! Have you heard from any yet?

@BreBre235 yep, I was accepted to psu, osu, and Purdue so far. Waiting on the rest

Does anyone know anyone that ever got accepted into university park or summer session with a 3.0 gpa or lower? asking for a friend

@nhenry123 My cousin was accepted to University Park for Biology with around a 2.7 or 2.8 and like a 2000 on the SAT. He’s graduating this year, so this was back in 2012

@hasannadeem47 so what I have realized is that they go over applications every weekday and they only update the portal once a day at midnight. So the applicants they review on Friday get notified on Saturday. Which is why no one gets in on Sunday and Monday

So basically it’s not worth checking 5 times a day because they update all the ones that will come out that day in the morning

Anyone hear from dus yet or leap?

But what about my OCD and checking mypennstate 3-4 times a day!! Only been waiting since Sept 15th!!!

@amarz12 yep basically. Even though I check at least 5 times a day myself. Just incase I’m wrong and everyone I know has heard first thing in the morning so I’m pretty sure that’s the way they handle things. @wowed777 I have a friend that got accepted for DUS and I’ve heard of others. @Oneiota don’t worry! I’m in the same boat. Applied sept 14th been waiting and it’s hard. My friends get annoyed because its all I talk about lol. Hang in there it’ll come sooner than you know it.
