@sunnyjames65 Congrats to your son, my daughter and I share this log in and its just as hard on me as it is her. Her stats are a bit higher than your sons except no job, we are still waiting (OOS) on Smeal. I asked a few weeks ago when we started reading messages on here if she wanted to change her application to DUS but her philosophy was if she cant get in now how will she know if she can get into Smeal later? We left as is and wait until Jan 31st. She says she doesn’t have a top school but I can tell when we visited she would be very happy at UP. Congrats again to both your son and you too

@2021NH I bet she will get accepted direct if her numbers are higher than my son’s. If she doesn’t, call and ask to be reevaluated for DUS…she absolutely will be able to handle Smeal coming in through DUS. The only difference is your advisor. My older son was not accepted to Smeal but able to come in through DUS. He is applying for Accounting as his major this semester…he won’t find out if accepted into the major until the end of this semester, but he meets all the requirements currently so he should be fine. His hardest class was Math 110…it’s a weed out class…so is Math 140. And he had scored a 770 on his SAT for math. I’ll be thinking of your daughter…best of luck!

Does anyone know if they will update tonight at midnight, or if we will have to wait until Monday for more results? Each day is so painful, and the thought of waiting 3 more days for even the hope of an answer…
Well I found through this process that PSU is 2/3 GPA, and since his GPA is a lot higher than mine It would indicate that he should be accepted. His scores are good as well. I was really worried due to my GPA and was hoping that with my ACT scores (as well as an upward trend on GPA) that the admissions dept would realize my ability. So I would feel confident that the admissions dept really reviews the applications thoroughly my acceptance is proof of that fact.
I believe they update at midnight each work day-so yes should be acceptances tomorrow. I spoke to Admissions today as I asked for consideration for fall after being accepted for summer. They said busy week next week with the portal, obviously time is short till 1/31/17.

11 more days, the anxiety is real. I applied back in October with a 1280 on the new SAT and 3.25 UW GPA, please tell me there’s hope.

I have a gpa of 3.77 weighted and a SAT (new) 1120. DUS. No summer what do you think, is my SAT to low?
@doy123 the sat may hold you back. I definitely would have put summer to optimize chances
