@stephaniexx, trying to make a rational argument for why one person gets in and another doesn’t is difficult. I’ve seen people in the 1100 SAT Range get accepted and some with high GPA’s not be accepted.
So…don’t waste a second trying to figure that out. Call Monday and ask to speak to a counselor, the people that answer are not counselor’s and ask to be reevaluated as DUS/Summer. Getting into SMEAL doesn’t actually happen till after Sophomore year anyway, you need to avg a 3.2 to get in or 3.5 for a couple of Business Majors.

No Summer and did not put a second choice for branch. I am sooo nervous that I will not get accepted at UP because of my SAT score.
Hi, All. I’ve been quietly observing for months because I was too lazy to reset my password. ;p The wait is at a point where I’m ready to lose it, but we are close. I have a daughter who is a junior at UP, went straight to main her freshman year and the stress of waiting was even worse for me then. I’m now waiting for an admission decision for my son! My daughter found out January 20th 2014 which was a Monday, and they were released that Monday after midnight so I’m thinking that somehow decisions may be in bulk tomorrow morning. I do miss the good days of waiting for that Penn state pix in your portal to change. That was so much more fun.

@PSUMamasita , my junior son found out on 1/18/2014. We have not found out yet about my current son. I do miss the sequence that once was. My Junior PSU son received an email, checked his portal which said a decision is on its way, then the next morning (Saturday), he received his acceptance:-)
@yogisandy A few kids in my grade who were accepted in the fall received emails telling them to check in a few hours. I wonder why they did so in the fall but not January.
