The PSU portal page for my son under the Status section still says Penn State is currently receiving… but yet all his info is complete. When would/should that change? He applied early Sept for main campus
It’s much easier for future readers trying to get useful information about chances from this thread if there are only actual decisions in it.
If you have a question, making your own thread will both keep this one clutter-free and make it more likely that a knowledgeable person sees your question and can answer it.
So what are the chances the portal will be updated? How’s that
@vjc1971 What he means is that this specific thread should be reserved only for posts about decisions received so we can understand timing of notifications, stats of those accepted/denied, etc.
Your question about the language in the status section is a good one, but should be in its own (new) thread so it can get answered properly and doesn’t convolute this topic with non-decision focused information. Hope this helps.
Accepted :
Son rec’d Penn State Altoona School of Nursing acceptance via portal this morning. No email/snail mail yet. Altoona was his 1st choice as he did not like the remote location of Main, plus he has lots of family who live close by and would live with grandparents to save money (OOS costs for State are no joke).

Congratulations! When did you apply?
Congratulations! When did you apply?
My daughter’s status just changed to “Your application is currently under review…” from that initial note of “We are receiving lots of applications…”. This happened over last weekend. She is applying to UPark only (for her major) and has a 4.2 W, 3.6UW and 1370 / 30 test scores. Hoping for the best and to hear before Christmas. A friend of mine heard in less than a week once his son’s status changed on his page. BUT, he was applying to Harrisburg campus. We’ve all been told those acceptances come much faster.
@onthesearch814 when did she submit her app?
