Is there anyone here who is going to an expensive out of state school for engineering that didn't get any financial aid??? I am going to have to pay about $24,000 dollars per year as a ME major at Penn State. Is it worth the cost, or should I just go to a school like Case Western Reserve University that would only cost me 14,000 per year? I also love PSU's campus, location athletics, and social life. What should I do??? PLEASE HELP!

I myself gave up on thinking of going out of state.

I would say, if your family has got the money, go to the school you like the best. Otherwise, try to figure out if it will be worth it to be in $40,000 more debt when you graduate.

Do you like anything about the instate schools?

Yes, the answer depends on how much money you and your family has. Case Western Reserve is a quality institution. Personally, I think it is crazy to spend that much money on PSU. But then I've never had a lot of money and neither has my family.
