PSU or Drexel Engineering

It is decision time and my son is between Drexel Accelerated Degree BSMS or PSU.
Cost is the same due to scholarship from Drexel. Any opinions or experience any one can offer will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Im in the same position. Im probably going to go with Drexel. PSU campus is beautiful, especially compared to drexel, but thats about the only thing i like better about PSU. The main thing that turned me off from PSU was their controlled majors. ex id have to have a 3.3 just to get into bioengineering. while it is doable, id rather go to drexel where im already guaranteed a spot in BME. co-op is a huge selling point for drexel, and for good and obvious reasons. psu also has co-op opportunities, but drexel has the convience of them being required by the university and also the connections of philadelphia employers. i feel like drexel is much different than the college experience of PSU but thats what really appealed to me. It is a university that focuses on education for the sake of applying it to the real world and not just learning for four years and then suddenly being thrown out into the job market.

PSU.

psu engineering ranking is 17th in the country, and drexel’s engineering program is nowhere near that.

and the only reason is you need a minimum gpa to get into a certain major is because of the amount of people who apply to them, so if you work hard and are determined than you’ll make it.

PSU also is also highly ranked in job placement after graduation, I believe they are actually in the top 3 out of all universities in the country believe it or not.

I’d go with PSU.
