Which school for business is better?

lehigh, and it’s a better school overall as well.

Lehigh University

that is absolutely not true at all

and as for what is being said about the schools overall, psu is ranked a few spots behind, but ahead as far as business. plus, penn state is a 100x better school in general.

Yeah, I don’t see why Lehigh is better than PSU. Is it just because its a private university? Well then, its a lot more expensive too.

Yeah, Penn State would definitely be better for business. Also, why lehigh? They are very different.

^^^

What???

How is PSU better than Lehigh??

Lehigh is ranked 20th while PSU is ranked 36th in Business Week for 2007

[Undergrad B-School Rankings: Interactive Table](http://bwnt.businessweek.com/bschools/undergraduate/07rankings/index.asp)

Lehigh has a MUCH BETTER business school than PSU

Harder to get into, better academics, higher salaries after graduation

Get real

Business Week is TERRIBLE at ranking business schools. They are the most BS rankings I’ve seen. They rank certain schools in the top 10 one year, and the next year they barely make the top 20.

Yes Lehigh is harder to get into because its smaller in size. That doesn’t make it better. PSU is easier to get into than Lehigh, but I doubt Smeal is.

I would add something, but MightyNick said it perfectly.

smeal is just like any other state university’s b-school except for the top (ross, haas, mcintyre).

there are tons and tons of students that don’t get decent job opportunities, and most of the students aren’t very motivated, which in turn shows through recruitment.

and to mightynick, if you think businessweek is terrible, you should also think us news is as well.

No, US news is more respectable than BW. US News Rankings don’t fluctuate as much.

mightynick said it perfectly
us news is MUCH more reliable for rankings than bw
and penn state itself is easier to get into, but smeal itself has an acceptance rate of like 7-8%

Where is Villanova in the Top 50 then?

Northeastern?

Lehigh?

Oh that’s right, nowhere to be seen in the Top 50

Are you telling me these aren’t Top 50 undergrad business programs? Business Week has them at 12th, 26th, and 20th

Where is Boston College in the Top 25??

US News is a joke, if you look at it most of the top schools they have are PUBLIC…so obviously they are more biased towards public schools for some reason

Ridiculous

mightynick said it perfectly
us news is MUCH more reliable for rankings than bw

and penn state itself is easier to get into, but smeal itself has an acceptance rate of like 7-8%

Smeal’s average SAT is 1210/1600

Their acceptance rate is so low because so many people apply there, with mediocre grades

wow. did you just say that us news is biased towards PUBLIC schools??? haha that statement alone makes me question the accuracy of anything that you say. if you knew anything about the rankings you would know that us news is totally biased towards private schools.
northeastern has a decent business school, but nothing spectacular.
villanova is only a masters university so why would it be ranked with other national universities?
and boston college is aout 26-27 on that list i just didn’t have the rest of it to to type, however carrol is a very average school-bc is not konwn for its business school.
psu’s business school is just very underestimated because the rest of the university accepts so many kids.

16 of the Top 25 are Public schools for US News

But how is Northeastern outside the Top 50, especially with their great job placement due to the co-ops?

dudeeee you gotta stop quoting your bible, er, bw rankings… do you even know what a co-op program is??
for the record, penn state has a great co-op program itself
and let me guess your comeback: Large program makes it hard for students to get face time with advisors.

is that what it was going to be, being that it is a direct quote from bw??

Explain why so many of the top 25 for USNews are PUBLIC schools then

And how can Georgetown’s business be ranked that low, worse than Penn State?

Yea ok sure

C’mon use some common sense

gtown has an excellent financial department, but its about a one trick pony
