PSU or Lehigh

OK, I’ll wade in here for a moment. My s was accepted to both schools. We had lunch with a business professor at Lehigh. Nice guy. But he said that Lehigh’s business school was great for accounting but not much better than PSU in other areas (like finance or marketing). He had lots of respect for the program at PSU - knew many professors there. Understood why it might be a hard choice, especially given the difference in prices. Anecdotal yes…but it says something.
I actually liked Lehigh but I didn’t see a huge difference in academic quality. Partying is big at both schools. So are frats. Overall, Lehigh students have better stats - yes.
I know quite a few very successful PSU grads AND Lehigh grads. Both are decent schools. Both are not Wharton. IMO - shades of difference only - with an edge to Lehigh. A smart motivated student can do well in either place. Go where it makes sense.

Alright, three years later. What are peoples opinions now?

I think these rankings can speak for themselves

Son (PSU) graduated and has a good job - locally too so we get to see him! We spent a fraction of what we would have spent at Lehigh and he saved one of his multiple scholarships. Looking back, especially given the collapse of the economy and lingering recession, I think we made a good choice!
