PSU Question--please read

Alright guys heres my dilemma:

As of right now I have a gpa of a 3.4 unweighted and have taken 10 ap's by the end of graduation. Currently I have a 25 on my ACT but I am re-taking this Saturday hoping for a 27-29. I really really really want to go to Penn State next year, but I have no idea if I could be accepted with the grades that I currently have. Would Penn State allow me to send in my ACT score (25) now, if I can be granted admissions with those grades, great, if NOT, will they let me make a note of me re-taking the future test and sending in those grades once I receive them back? Would there be any chance of me being accepted now with the grades that I have now, or should I just wait the extra 3 weeks to send my scores?

What is your weighted gpa? What major are you applying for?

I got into engineering early last year with a 4.0 weighted (3.74 unweighted) and 1100 SAT (converted to approx. 24 ACT).

My weighted is 3.7 although, weighted for my school really doesnt matter because whether you take 1 AP or 6 AP's and 5 Honors, they will only add .3 to your unweighted. However, I will have taken 10 aps by the end of HS. I originally applied for Business as my major but I had changed it to DUS because I wanted a better chance of admission. I have also visited the school and would attend the summer session to increase my chances as well.

slugger - If PSU is your first choice , don't fret!! You have a great shot, but if by some chance you don't get in for Fall, you can apply for summer start. You just get to campus a few months early and take summer courses before your freshman year. I know a lot of kids who did that and it worked out great for them.
That's just a back-up plan to ease your mind a little, but you may not even need it. Good luck to you!
Also - I would apply as early as possible and note that you are retaking the ACT .

LOL - we cross-posted!

Thanks so much, I was so concerning over getting in, it is definitely my number choice and I am willing to do anything to go there. I want to do summer program. I will e-mail the admissions officer that came to my school last week and ask them if I can submit my current scores and if they are not worthy of acceptance then they can wait until they get my updated, better scores.

are you applying for summer session?

Well I am applying for Fall 2008, but I also put on the application that I would also attend Penn State even if I was only admitted into the Summer Session.
