@PSUGradMom The only reason I didnt wanna go to Erie is because it’s way too far from my house. Also, I dont know a lot about the enviroment around erie.
Penn State Admissions just posted on Facebook: “The wait is over! Decisions are going out now to those who had completed applications by November 30th”. Still Waiting… :-w Just another 10 days…
My D received a status of a 4 to 6 week wait tonight. She applied summer session due to lowish sat scores. I think this means they’re on the fence with her and want to see the trend with acceptances as they do their first big release now. What do you all think?
@C1TonDoe Is there a branch closer to your home? Usually if you get into one branch you can ask to go to a different branch. The entrance requirements for the branch campuses are all the same. Maybe you could go to a branch closer to home?

I was pretty bummed to be accepted to summer, but that is expected due to my pretty average stats! I’m still super excited (: There’s hope for the average kids!!
We live near Philly so yes there is a closer branch but I think for her it’s UP or she’ll go elsewhere. She wants a true dorm /campus experience. She applied in October or early November. I think it will be what it will be and maybe the way it’s supposed to be in the end. I’m sure there are really good campuses besides the main campus but I don’t think she has an open mind about them. I think this status is like a deferral. Don’t u think?
@bengalmom1 Someone said that their status did the same thing (around post #479). They said they had applied before Nov. 30th. They posted that they called admissions and they said that at the time they were reviewing his application. Essentially, a glitch in the system. The counselor reassured him that he would get his decision by Jan. 31st. (Check out post #523 or around there)! :-h
