Talked to a counselor this PM. Got another answer - different again!! He said although my kids received…any day status… they could hear tonight, maybe over the weekend, or at least by next Friday!!! I asked him about the “will hear in 24 hrs after status change legend”, he said, it is very unpredictable, maybe we’ll hear in 24 hrs, maybe we won’t! Since it is the weekend…has anyone received a change of status and then AN ACCEPTANCE IN THE SAME DAY?
@mick80 there were quite a few kids that had their status updated yesterday in the am and received admission notification around 6 or 6:30 last night. I know of at least three from my sons NY school. He got his status change last night so we are still waiting…

So much for the status only changes once a day in the morning!
If the process seemed a little slow this year it might be related to the retirement of the previous director of admissions (sept 30). there must have been an interim head and transitions are hard and sometimes slow.
or it could be that Universities are incredibly behind the times with technology and have archaic processes.
@luvthej I know there may be circumstances we may not be aware of, but if not it’s a pretty inconvenient time to retire! That makes sense though, that it might be a bit more chaotic there. Thanks.

We are still waiting to hear from Pitt (applied summer 2014). They want mid term grades.
He was also accepted into the engineering school at University of Delaware.
We will hear from North Carolina State university and University of Maryland next week.
Admissions posted on Facebook that they put up a blog post on “What Does My Admissions Decision Mean” and it states what we’ve been told: pre Nov. 30 applicants being informed this week. Ummm…the one day I WASN’T expecting a stats change because they told me this morning we wouldn’t have it…We GOT THE COMING DAYS STATUS TODAY!

PS - we’re still waiting. That’s ok…don’t think my son will make his final decision for another couple of weeks. Still… Truly happy for those whose wait will soon come to an end!
Well … I got my decision today … didnt get into UP or summer … i got accepted into harrisburg, my alternate campus. does anybody know if you can appeal to at least get into summer & if so how?
