<p>Can anyone give me some insight as to which would be a better program? I know PSU has a good GIS program, however after talking with faculty at UIUC they have described how UIUC is essentially 'revamping' their GIS program after the outlook of jobs in our field. I'm going to be receiving a B.S. and maybe double major in Civil Engineering as well. I know UIUC has a 'combined plan' that lets you do both majors in 5 rather than a 4 year double-major crunch. </p>
<p>I'm more interested in doing data collection and being outside as compared to analysis and staring at ArcGIS 10 all day..</p>
