Wow. I really thought PSU would lose when ND had the first touchdown. They kept saying things about Clausen about how he was 42-0 in H.S. and have been preparing for this his entire life. But he really sucks.

I saw some of the post game press on the game and they were all falling all over Clausen and saying what a wonderful job he did. Huh? Did I miss something? I was there...Dan Connor OWNED him. Our friend said they kept showing his family throughout the game - like he was the big story. It's cause it's ND I guess.
Yeah - MN is very quiet. Not a good time to be a Michigan fan...

I watched on TV and yes, they did keep showing his family. They said his parents had never really seen him get pummeled...I guess they got to see that last night! Personally, I think he stunk and he was way too cocky. Yeah, he's a freshman, but he certainly is no big deal.

My D has season tix...she was thinking of selling a couple of them, but not now! She also hurt her foot this week...and was worried she'd have to miss the game. But her friends only carried her to the game from her dorm at East but also CARRIED HER UP ALL THE WAY TO THE F/S SECTION, then carried her home! Penn State students are the absolute best in the world!

haha I was in hiding :). I was getting a bunch of text messages from my PSU friends last night making fun of Michigan football. It was really quiet on campus last night. I was expecting a lot of parties since there was so much pre-gaming going on that morning, but the big defeat totally demoralized the students.

I saw the PSU game on TV though and I felt like being back in Happy Valley! What an atmosphere!

Awesome story SpringfieldMom. We have a Noter Damer in the family who gave us tickets -and we were thrilled to go. My S has season tickets and loves the atmosphere. Now I can see why...wow. My H and I went to schools w/o big sports teams - so this was all new to us. The White House was amazing! Kind of weird sitting in the ND section but there were quite a few Penn Staters around too. After the game, my H said "I wish went to school here!"
MN - welcome back. Hope your adjustment to Mich is going well despite the school's football woes...

This is completely unrelated, but for the first time I got to see what it is like in the middle of the season to be in university park. Yesterday, it felt as though the population had doubled and people were chanting "we are penn state" hours before the game. Everywhere I looked there people flooding the campus, kids playing, and preparations for the game, I had no idea it would be that huge.

hey frasi - I was surprised too by all the "old" people walking around. Lots of alumni - some who looked to be older than JoePa. All wearing white of course.

One of my favorite parts of the game was reading all the different game tee shirts. While many were crass, a few were cute and clever. Toneranger, we have some regular B&B guests who are older alums and IMO that group has some of the true die hard fans. Lots of great stories and they know how to tailgate!
