I heard that both Psych 1 and 2 were pretty manageable. I am a freshman looking for a easy, interesting class to take in the fall. I want to sign up as soon as possible. I tried looking up the professors with little success. Any thoughts/past experience on Gade for Psych 1 VS Chen, John-Henderson, vs Rosman for Psych 2?? Thanks!!!!!

Gade is awesome. I just had him for Psych 160 session A. Crystal clear slides, dont need to go to lecture and you can still pull of a solid A.

If you are intended psych, take psych 1.

Thanks for the reply! That’s good to know! I’m going for Public Health though and probably not Psych. Would Psych 1 look better than 2? Do you know if the class is curved?

Oh! I’m PH too and I took Psych 1 because I am also Psych.

As far as I know, it was not curved. The material should be fairly straightforward though if you keep up with the reading or go to lecture (certainly dont need to do both!), so they dont implement a curve.

Ohh! Double majoring? Are you already declared for PH? Is it really competitive?

Another quick question, do you know about the grading? Is there homework or is it all test-based? I’m leaning towards Psych 2, but I heard Gade is pretty good!

I would just take psy 1, it’s supposed to be easy. If you take psy 2 love it and decide you want to major in psy, you are gonna have to take psy1.

If you have any interest in POSSIBLY majoring in psychology, go with psych 1. otherwise, psych 2.

If Psych 1 isn’t too much harder I will go for it! Thanks all!
